Women’s Leadership Panelist Bios:

Nancy Medrano, Banner Desert

Nancy is an experienced project executive with a demonstrated history of delivering healthcare projects. Skilled in Business Process Improvement and Healthcare Management, she has a strong program and project management background. Nancy is a graduate of Northern Arizona University.

Tracy Lauer, Cuningham

With 21 years of experience, Tracy is a project manager who is extremely motivated. She has successfully completed the tenant interior projects for Sophie's Place, Forever Young, and 3P while concurrently designing and building the Women's Tower Expansion. For each project, Tracy assembles the greatest team possible and makes use of each person's advantages to deliver Banner Desert Medical Center the best project results. All team members, including Banner leadership, shared philosophies, and objectives for the Women's Tower Expansion. Banner requested input from all project teams as they worked to integrate prefabrication and modular construction on three separate projects to maximize efficiency. Shared contributions from the Architect and Contractor were especially helpful for workflow optimization and timetable integration. The Women's Tower Expansion team was able to communicate and make modifications in real time through the usage of a live Revit platform and early Trade Partner involvement, which reduced waste and allowed for quicker constructability alternatives. The Women's Tower Expansion has benefited from Tracy's leadership, which has also enabled Banner to save $3 million on the project.

Brittany Burbes, DPR

With a vast range of experience in the construction industry, Brittany has focused primarily on technically complex medical facilities. She specializes in bridging the divide that naturally exists between the design and construction industries, bringing key insight into the cultural personalities and business motivations of design firms and their staff. With practical experience on how to effectively execute occupied hospital projects, she excels at structuring the team to execute definitive scopes of work with integrated project delivery.
