In healthcare, stress often feels like part of the job—but it doesn’t have to control how you feel, think, or show up each day. Mental health is physical health, and when we understand this connection, we gain powerful tools to shift from survival mode into resilience. In this interactive session, Lauren Oliver, Certified Yoga Therapist and Integrative Health Coach, blends science, somatic practices, and yoga philosophy to explore how the mind and body work together to create balance—or imbalance—in our well-being. Participants will learn: - Why the mind-body connection matters: how blood sugar balance, gut inflammation, and nervous system health impact mental clarity, mood, and emotional resilience
- How to recognize the body’s stress response in real time—and interrupt it with practical tools
- Breathwork, movement, and nervous system regulation techniques that bring you back into calm and clarity
- How to work with your thoughts, patterns, and beliefs to respond—rather than react—to difficult situations
- A framework from yoga’s koshas (the five layers of self) to understand and support mental health in a whole-person way
Participants will walk away with a new perspective on mental health, and a toolkit they can use immediately—whether navigating workplace conflict, setting boundaries, or simply reclaiming moments of peace throughout the day.
