Join us for a powerful and reflective two-part book club series as we explore The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks through the lens of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion. Together, we will dive into the true story of Henrietta Lacks—an African American woman whose cells were taken without her knowledge or consent—and the profound impact her legacy has had on modern medicine, ethics, and racial equity. As part of this experience, we will follow a simple reading plan to guide our discussion: Session 1: Chapters 1-19 Reading or completing the chapters is encouraged but not required to attend. Everyone can participate at whatever level feels comfortable.
