On September 9th, Women in Healthcare Georgia will tour the new renovation of the Shepherd Center, a world-renowned rehabilitation hospital providing exceptional care to patients with neurological conditions since its founding in 1975. After opening remarks with Shari McDowell, Chief Operating Officer, and her clinical leadership team, participants will tour the new 35-bed Acquired Brain Injury inpatient floor and its state-of-the-art therapy gym, the Multiple Sclerosis Clinic, Infusion, and Wellness Center as well as a Simulation Clinical Training Suite that provides staff with hands-on training in a safe and controlled environment. Other renovated areas include the new welcoming Main Lobby, a Centralized Waiting and Registration area that streamlines the check-in process, and a new Family Center where family members have their own space to relax, work or play.
